Media Library
Upload an image once and get a permanent direct link you can use in any site, README or email signature. On every plan.
Upload an image
- 1Open the Features menu at the top of your dashboard and click Media. On a phone, it is Media Library in the menu behind the ☰ button.
- 2Upload a JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP or SVG of up to 5 MB.
- 3Copy its link. The link serves the image itself, so it works in an
imgtag, a CSS background, a GitHub README or an email.
What happens to your images
- JPG and PNG images are converted to WebP, resized to at most 2,000 pixels on the long side and stripped of location and camera details. If the original is already smaller than the converted file, it is kept exactly as uploaded.
- GIF and WebP files are stored as they are, so animations keep working. SVG files are cleaned of scripts and anything else that could run code.
- The library is account-wide: the Site Builder's image picker and the image cells in Data use the same images.

Good to know
- Links never expire.
- Deleting an image is permanent and breaks every page still using it, so the library warns you first.
- When you transfer a site, the images it uses move to the new owner's library and their names stay reserved in yours. Uploading a file with the same name later offers Upload as … with a new name.
