Edit your website like a spreadsheet

Most websites bake prices, menus and team lists into the page itself — so every small change means editing files. Move that content into a collection once, and update it from your dashboard forever.

1

Create a collection

Pick a preset — Menu, Team, Testimonials, FAQ — or start blank, then type your rows in a spreadsheet-style editor.

2

Connect it to your site

Copy the ready-made snippet, or paste our AI prompt into ChatGPT or Claude so the page it builds uses your real content.

3

Assign it to your project

The URL starts serving your rows the moment it's assigned to one of your hosted sites.

4

Edit anytime

Change a price, add a dish, retire a team member — the live site updates within a minute. No redeploy, ever.

How to connect it to ChatGPT, Claude or any AI builder

You never write the instructions yourself. Every collection comes with a ready-made prompt that teaches your AI exactly how to use your content.

1

Copy the AI prompt

Open Data in your dashboard, create a collection from a preset and type in your rows. Then hit the robot button and copy the AI prompt — it already contains your public URL and your exact column names.

2

Paste it into your AI

Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or whichever AI builder you use, along with whatever else you're asking it to build. The page it writes fetches your real content from your collection instead of inventing placeholder text and prices.

Done — the menu section fetches your Dplooy Data URL and renders whatever rows it returns, so your edits show up automatically.

In your dashboard, click New Website Hosting and upload the HTML page the AI gave you. Once it's live, assign the collection to that project — from then on you edit rows, never the page, never the AI again.

A content store, not a CMS to learn

Nothing to install, nothing to configure. A simple table, a link, and a website that stays current.

No Re-Uploading

Your site's files never change. Updating a price is a dashboard edit — not a re-upload, a rebuild, or asking an AI to regenerate the page.

Ready-Made Presets

Services & prices, menus, team, testimonials, FAQ, gallery, events — pick one and the columns are set up for you. Rename or reshape them freely.

Built for AI Builders

One copy-paste prompt gives your AI the URL and exact field names, so the page it generates renders your real content instead of invented placeholders.

Media Library Images

Image cells pick from your account's Media Library. One photo, one URL, reused across collections — optimized and hosted already.

Works on Any Website

It's a plain public link your page reads. AI-generated single files, hand-written HTML, React, Vue, Svelte — if it can fetch a URL, it works.

Fast for Visitors

Data is published as a static file and cached — visitors get it as fast as any asset on your page, no database query in sight.

Anything that goes stale

If you've ever put off updating your website because it meant editing files, this is for that.

Restaurant menus

Change a price or mark a dish unavailable from your phone. The menu on your site is always today's menu.

Team pages

New hire? Add a row with their photo and role. No one has to touch the website.

Testimonials & FAQs

Collect new quotes and answers over time and publish them by typing them in — the page grows with you.

Events & announcements

Add upcoming events with dates and links; your site renders the current list on every visit.

On every plan, including Free

Collections belong to your account and survive project deletions — your content is never hostage to a single site.

Frequently asked questions

What is Dplooy Data?

A spreadsheet-style content store built into your Dplooy dashboard. You create a collection — a menu, a team list, an FAQ — and it gets a public URL that serves the rows as JSON. Your website fetches that URL and renders the content, so editing a row in the dashboard changes what every visitor sees, without touching your site's files.

How fast do edits appear on my live site?

Within about a minute. The published data is cached briefly so busy sites stay fast; every save republishes it, and visitors pick up the new version on their next page load after the cache window passes.

Do I need to change my website's code to use it?

Once. Your page needs one fetch() call to the collection's URL — we give you a copy-paste snippet, or an AI prompt containing your URL and exact field names that you can paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI builder so the generated page is wired up from the start. After that, all changes happen in the dashboard.

Is the data private?

No — and that's by design. The data renders on your public website, so the endpoint is public: anyone with the URL can read it. Use it for content you'd happily put on a web page, and never for passwords, customer details, or anything sensitive.

Which websites can use a collection?

A collection serves its rows once it's assigned to one of your Dplooy-hosted projects. You can create it earlier — the URL exists immediately and returns an empty list until assignment, which is handy when an AI is building the page before you've deployed. Need the same content on a second site? Duplicate the collection; each copy has its own URL.

What field types are supported?

Seven: text, long text, number, image, link, date, and yes/no. Images come from your account's Media Library — you pick from what you've uploaded, and the published data carries a permanent image URL.

Does it work with React, Vue, or plain HTML?

All of them. The endpoint is a plain JSON URL with open CORS — your own code does the fetching and rendering, so it works identically in any framework, on any page, including AI-generated single-file sites.

Is this for realtime data like stock counts?

No. Edits take up to a minute to reach visitors because the data is cached for speed. It's built for content that changes daily at most — menus, prices, team pages, FAQs, event lists — not live availability.

What happens if I delete a project?

Nothing happens to your collections. They belong to your account, not the project — deleting a site just un-assigns them, and they keep your rows until you assign them to another project or delete them yourself.

How do I update a website made with ChatGPT or another AI?

This is exactly what Dplooy Data is for. AI tools generate a finished page with your content baked in — so changing a price normally means regenerating the whole page. Instead, create a collection, copy our ready-made AI prompt, and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, v0, Lovable or any AI builder. The page it generates fetches your content from your collection's URL, so from then on you update the site by editing rows in your dashboard — no more regenerating.

Can I use this for my restaurant's menu?

Yes — it's one of the built-in presets. Create a Menu collection (name, price, description, image, available) and your site renders it from the live data. Change a price or mark a dish unavailable from your phone, and the menu on your website updates within a minute. No calling your web person, no re-uploading anything.
