Build on your account, deliver to theirs
The usual handover is a mess: a site built on the wrong account, a password shared over email, a rebuild on the client's side, or a client who never gets to see the work until it's done.
On Dplooy the site stays yours while you build it. The client is invited to it, sees it from their own dashboard, and when you say so, it becomes theirs with everything attached. No rebuild, no shared login.

Open the site and choose Share
Share sits under Settings in the project. The panel has three parts: People on the site, Invite, and Transfer ownership.

Invite by email
Type the address and click Invite. The link in the email works for seven days and only for that address. Up to five people per site; inviting is included with Pro.

They accept from their own dashboard
Signed in with that address, they see the site as a shared card: "Shared by you". Viewers by default. Switch anyone to Editor from the panel whenever you like.

Transfer when the work is done
Choose someone already on the site, read the precheck, tick Keep editor access if you are staying on, and click Transfer. Everything attached to the site goes with it.
Two roles, one owner
Everyone invited starts as a viewer. Switch anyone to editor from the Share panel, on any plan. The site stays yours either way.

Everything around a transfer is designed so both of you know what will happen before it does.
The precheck first
Before anything moves, the panel says whether they can receive the site, the plan they need, and every limit that would block it: sites, storage, forms, booking pages, data, images.
What goes with it
The site at its address, its forms and submissions, booking pages and requests, data collections, the images it uses from your library, and the custom domain.
What stays behind
Deploy history, so the new owner starts fresh. A GitHub repo link is disconnected: the site arrives as an uploaded site they can connect to their own repo.
Keep editor access
One checkbox on the confirm. Ticked, you keep changing the site on their plan until they remove you. Unticked, you lose access to it entirely.
Everyone else comes off
The new owner decides who sees their site. The confirm says how many people lose access, and they can be invited back in a minute.
Not reversible, but not one-way
Once it completes, the site is theirs. They can transfer it back the same way, as long as they are on Pro and you are on the site.

Being invited is free. What a person sees on a shared site follows the owner's plan, so nobody is upsold on a site they don't own.

Frequently asked questions
Who can I invite?
Anyone with a Dplooy account, on any plan including Free. Type their email in the Share panel and click Invite. The link in the email works for seven days and only for that address, and they need a verified email to accept. Up to five people per site.
What does a viewer see?
The site, its analytics, form submissions, and booking requests with their history, all from their own dashboard. They can approve or decline booking requests. They never see the password, storage paths, domain verification, the GitHub link or your notification addresses, and they cannot change the site.
What can an editor do?
Everything a viewer can, plus change the site: the Code Editor and Visual Editor, Replace files, Versions, password, email gate, Google Analytics, the chatbot, the 404 page and SEO. Their changes land on your account and your plan. They still cannot delete, share or transfer the site, change the custom domain or GitHub, see leads, open your media library, or manage your forms, bookings and data.
Does the client need a paid plan?
Not to look. Any plan can be invited, and what they see follows your plan, not theirs. To receive a transfer they need Plus, or Pro if the site has a custom domain. The precheck names the plan before anything moves.
What moves in a transfer?
The site and everything attached to it: the forms and their submissions, the booking pages and their requests, the data collections, the images it uses from your media library, and the custom domain. The site keeps its address. Your storage total goes down by what moved, theirs goes up.
What doesn't move?
Deploy history: the new owner starts fresh. A GitHub repo link: the transfer disconnects it, and the site arrives as an uploaded site they can connect to their own repo. Everyone else on the site comes off; the new owner can invite them back. Forms and bookings keep sending notifications to the addresses set up now, and the new owner is prompted once to review them.
Can I stay involved after handing over?
Yes. Tick Keep editor access on the transfer confirm and you stay on the site as an editor, on their plan, until they remove you. Leave it unticked and you lose access to it entirely: a clean handover.
Is a transfer reversible?
No. Once it completes, the site is theirs. They can transfer it back to you the same way, as long as they are on Pro and you are on the site.
What if my plan drops below Pro later?
Nothing changes for the people already on your sites: they keep their access until you remove them or they leave. You can still remove people and switch roles on any plan. Inviting new people and transferring need Pro.
Which sites can be shared?
Any website: a single HTML page, a ZIP or folder upload, a GitHub deploy or a Site Builder site. A file share, such as a PDF or an image on its own link, is not a website and cannot be shared or transferred.
What if they are over their limits?
The precheck checks the site against their plan: number of sites, storage, forms, booking pages, data collections and images. If anything would go over, it says exactly what, and nothing moves until it fits.
